Super Mario Galaxy trading cards were released to celebrate the release of Super Mario Galaxy. Each booster pack had two regular cards, one trivia card, one standee, and one FunTat.

Fifteen cards also had special foil releases. For each card purchase, there was a one out of six chance that there would be a foil card. There was also a special Spring Mario foil card exclusive to a collector's box. This card was not mentioned in the original two checklists, but only in the checklist that comes with the collector's box.[citation needed]

Cards labeled with an asterisk (*) also feature a foil variant.

Errors[edit]

  • A few of the cards have misprints in the names.
    • On the Home of Dino Piranha card, "Piranha" is misspelled as "Pirahna."
    • "Baron Brrr" is misspelled as "Baron Brr."
    • Kingfin is mistakenly called Bonefin, possibly due to his presence in the Bonefin Galaxy.
  • The artwork on the Piranha Plant card is actually that of a Spiny Piranha Plant.
