The Suitcase is an item found in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Before Mario goes to the Koopa Cruiser in the beginning of the game, Toadsworth quickly rides on the Suitcase to him and gives this item to Mario for the trip he is going on. Mario takes the Suitcase along with 100 Mushroom coins. Throughout the game, Mario and Luigi keep their Items, Badges, Clothes, their Beanbean Map, and their passports inside the Suitcase. The Suitcase also appears at the title screen. The only places where the Suitcase is visible on screen, aside from when it was introduced, are when Fawful takes the Beanstar from the player, and when Luigi comes to heal Mario will Crabbie Grass. In the former, the player is able to physically engage gameplay around the suitcase.

Stuffwell replaces this suitcase in the sequel of Superstar Saga, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. He serves the same job as the old Suitcase, but he is capable of speech and has two legs. He also has a larger role in the story than the former suitcase. However, in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, the suitcase concept is replaced by a simple menu, from which the player could access all the features of the suitcase. Template:BoxTop
