The course is very similar to Choco Island 1, but is more difficult. On the track and along the sides of the track are passive Piranha Plants, which will make racers spin out when hit. The off-road on the sides of the course also slows down racers a lot more than other types of off-road. The course begins with a right turn followed by a left turn and a U-turn to the right; in the middle of the U-turn is the only set of ? Panels. The track then narrows and racers take a slight left turn followed by a right turn. Here the track widens greatly and racers encounter numerous narrow bumps in the road followed by a huge puddle of slippery mud. There is then a right turn and a slight left turn, with many more narrow bumps along both. Racers then take one last right turn and reach the finish line shortly after.
It is very similar to the first Choco Island course; however, it is harder due to the big chocolate puddle midway making the karts slide. This, as well as the hard turns, bumps, and narrow roads, make it hard for heavy karts to finish in first place. Piranha Plants are once again present as hazards, and the darker ground off the road slows karts down a lot. At the center of the track is a rectangular area surrounded by four walls. A ramp, which can be used to escape from the area when entered, is placed by one end of the walls.
