As with the other three Mario Circuit courses, Mario Circuit 1 consists of a simple paved road with sand on both sides that can slow down racers. Outside of the course lies a grassland with trees and hills in the background. The course begins with a left turn followed by a straightaway. Racers then encounter a left turn with several [[Warp Pipe|pipes]], which serve as this course's only hazard. After racers pass the pipes, they reach the only set of [[? Panel]]s in the course. After taking a sharp left turn followed by a sharp right turn, there is one last left turn as racers reach the finish line.
