There are three modes in the base game: Coin Floating, Ghost Hunt and Cannon Barrage. Paid DLC added six new modes: Tricky Ghost Hunt, DodgeBrawl, River Bank, Floaty Frenzy, PuckStravaganza, and Desperate Measures.
There are nine game modes, including the paid [[Luigi's Mansion 3#Add-on content|add-on content]] ones in ScreamPark: Coin Floating, Ghost Hunt, Cannon Barrage, Tricky Ghost Hunt, DodgeBrawl, River Bank, Floaty Frenzy, PuckStravaganza, and Desperate Measures. Only the first three game modes listed can be played unless downloadable content is purchased with real money.
 
In every game mode except DodgeBrawl, the player or team with the most coins or points at the end wins.
