Template:LLquote Clipped is a status effect which Mario can receive in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and is dealt only within battles against a Clip Guy. When a Clip Guy successfully clips the player, Mario's HP bar will shake, and he won't be able to move for 2 to 4 turns. A status icon will appear, showing a fist covered by a red "X". This status effect is similar to becoming Immobilized in earlier installments of the Paper Mario series. In addition to not allowing Mario to run from the battle, becoming Clipped will also prevent him from using stickers to defend and evade attacks, as well as preventing attacks of his own. If Mario is Clipped and a Paint Guy comes up to Mario, it will spill its paint immediately, without first pushing Mario. Template:BoxTop
