Template:Missionbox The Ultimate Test is the first mission of the Grandmaster Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2. The mission's objective is to simply reach the end of the galaxy.

Mission

The player starts on a platform with a Yoshi Egg. Breaking Yoshi out of it, the player needs to use him to cross the flowers and avoid the Floating Mines, Paragoombas, and Bullet Bills to reach the Launch Star at the end. Next is a series of Flipswitch Panels the player needs to activate while avoiding Sentry Beams to create a Launch Star. In the Electric Maze Area, the player needs to utilize a Cloud Flower power-up to ride the winds and avoid the electric barriers to reach the Launch Star at the end. Next is a path made up of disappearing and Red-Blue platforms with Octopodes and spiked Sentry Beams, followed by blocks with electric rods moving along them.
