:Elixir is actually a pretty common word, used for a potion, and nothing unique. Given that the game was made by the same people that made Final Fantasy, I wouldn't say this is an intended reference, but just the developers going along with their own style. IMHO calling this a reference to Final Fantasy would be the same as calling Chrono Trigger a reference to Dragonball (because the art style is similar). - {{User:Edofenrir/sig}} 21:17, 6 January 2010 (EST)

Should it be mentioned that this originated from Final Fantasy? Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Elixir is actually a pretty common word, used for a potion, and nothing unique. Given that the game was made by the same people that made Final Fantasy, I wouldn't say this is an intended reference, but just the developers going along with their own style.
