Super Mario 3-D Series

The Super Mario 3-D Series is a series of four games, all with 3-D graphics. These games all give the player the ability to use the wall jump. Mario is playable in all four games. Another move these games grant the player is the ability to do triple jumps. The games revolve around collecting some sort of object (i.e. Power Stars).

[edit] Gameplay Similarities
There are many similarities in the gameplay of the four games. Below is a list of all the things that are the same in the games.
- The games all have a central 'hub', from which all the other areas are reached.
- To face the final boss, which is always Bowser, the player must collect a certain amount of Power Stars, Grand Stars, or Shine Sprites.
- All the games have 8-42 areas, which have missions or episodes which must be completed to get Power Stars, Grand Stars, or Shine Sprites.
- Most of the areas have a boss that is fought from one to three times that has something to do with the level. The boss usually gives up a reward.
- A large amount of bosses
