Hazard Hold is a 1-vs-Rivals minigame featured in Mario Party 9.

Introduction

The screen shows the solo player launch an electricity ring at the other players. The other players jump to avoid it. The screen then splits into one side for the solo player and another for the rivals.

Gameplay

The solo player attempts to eliminate all other players by using three different attacks. The electricity attack button sends a ring of electricity that expands from the center out, with a four second regeneration time. The fire attack button causes the four Rocket Engines to activate and slowly pivot for 90 degrees, with a four second regeneration time.
