==History==
After heading out of [[Decalburg]], Mario and Kersti reach the Warm Fuzzy Plains. Here, they encounter Bowser Jr, who was chasing a Toad for his [[Sticker (Paper Mario: Sticker Star)|Scissors sticker]]. After beating Jr with said sticker, Jr removes the bridge to continue, but is restored after retrieving it with the help of some Toads nearby and using Paperize to place it back on. As they continue, they run into the Goombas they first fought back in Decalburg, who want a rematch, but like before, Mario beats them and they are defeated.
After traversing through [[Bouquet Gardens| a area with strong winds (caused by a fan)]] and where Mario meets the [[Traveling Toad]] the first of five times in the game, [[Water's Edge Way| a grassy area with a waterfall, where Kamek is first encountered]], [[Hither Thither Hill| a third grassy area with a windmill and a dark cavern, while escorting a Green Toad back to Decalburg]], and [[Whammino Mountain| a mountainous area where the first '''Sticker Shop''' outside of town is found]], Mario and Kersti soon reach [[Goomba's Fortress]], where the first Royal Sticker resides. While the Goombas here tried their best to stop Mario from reaching the tower, he soon reaches it anyway, where he finds a Goomba corrupted by the Royal Sticker's power. He, and fifteen other Goombas form up the Megasparkle Goomba to beat Mario, but soon beats them down to size. The other Goombas then decide to back down from helping the now shiny Goomba and they head off, with the remaining Goomba still attempting to fight Mario. He is soon defeated and the Royal Sticker is collected.

World 1 is the first world in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. This world, comprised of six levels, takes place in the grassy plains in two-thirds of the world, much like the Mario platformer games, as well as the high stone mountains in the latter third. It's appearance is based on World 1 (the plains) and World 6 (the mountains), both from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Goombas and Koopa Troopas are found and fought here, and enemies like Bob-ombs and Spinies are first encountered here. Bowser Jr and Kamek are first encountered here, along with the first major boss, the Megasparkle Goomba, and where the first Royal Sticker is found. This is also where Kersti shows off Paperization mode and where Things are first seen.
