His first and only appearance was in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]'', where [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] could talk to him in order to play the Mine Cart [[minigame]] to go to another area of [[Beanbean Kingdom]]. They can desire to go back to the area they started riding the Mine Carts. He is usually seen napping in his rocking chair alongside his [[Dog|beanish dog]]. During the mine cart tutorial he rides on a rocking chair with wheels that is pulled along the tracks by his dog.
