She is depicted to having blue hair (green hair in her original sprite) and a red tail in her official artwork. She wears a crown, but it is unknown as to whether or not she is the ruler of anything or if she belongs to any form of royalty. She also has a pearl necklace. Mad has the ability to temporarily freeze Toad's fairy helper, Wanda, during battle. Like the other bosses, she is also able to re-locate herself anywhere on the stage and if she re-materializes on Toad, she will instantly knock him out. Mad is also capable of throwing enemies around the stage. While Mad participates in helping Wario in stopping Toad from saving the Peaceful Forest and the Mushroom Kingdom, it is unknown of what type of relation the two share (a trait shared among the other bosses of the NES version of the game).
