The Planet Cup in Mario Power Tennis is the final cup of the Star Tournaments, which is unlocked by completing the Moonlight Cup. Its difficulty is comparable to the Star Cup, although players and opponents hit stronger due to the star rank. The tournament takes place in the Peach Dome Grass Court. The first matches have 3 sets and 2 games, while the second and last match has 5 sets. Aesthetically, it takes place during the day for all matchs. When players clear the Planet Cup, the player unlocks a new level of difficulty for the AI.
In Mario Tennis Open, the Shell Cup can be compare as the Planet Cup's successor.
