If the player enters the maze, the objective is to get in and out of the small sections in which [[Mario]] can fit into without getting crushed. There are no enemies inside the maze. At the end of the maze, there is a green pipe that slides into the next portion of the level. Once again, the dirt will rise, but will not come down again. The dirt can be retracted if the player moves forward and turns back. If the player stands on the edge of the first dirt floor, then when it is at the top, the player can jump above the ceiling to the left. If the player can go to the very left of the stage, he will find a [[Key]] and a [[Keyhole]] laid on pieces of rock. They lead to a level known as [[Valley Fortress]]. On the regular path, however, the player will encounter [[Mega Mole]]s on top of [[Muncher]]s. The goal, as well as flying wings will allow the player to access [[Valley Ghost House]].
