Ice Ball (obstacle)

The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.

Icy Spiked Balls are ice-covered Spiked Balls that first appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2, exclusively in World 4-1. Both normal and Giant Spiked Balls appear, and behave identically to normal Spiked Balls. They can only be destroyed by Gold Mario.

In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Skowl, the Startling creates several Icy Spiked Balls during the first phase of his battle. While flying above one corner of the battle arena, Skowl uses his ice powers to hurl Icy Spiked Balls at the other corner. After landing, they start rolling slowly in the opposite direction, across the arena. In this game, they are indestructible, but can be safely bounced on with Cranky Kong's cane.

They reappear in Yoshi's Woolly World, where they are summoned by Snifberg the Unfeeling. They roll down attempting to hurt Yoshi, and can only be avoided in this game.
