Template:Infobox PolterCue is an online Flash game that is part of the Luigi's Mansion microsite on nintendo.com.[1]

Gameplay

With the use of a "Poltergust 1000", which can be dragged from side to side using the mouse, the player has to direct a billiard ball into one of the six pockets on a pool table. This is done by briefly flipping the switch on the Poltergust to vacuum the ball, then letting go of the switch, leaving the ball with enough momentum to continue rebounding off the table's margins and potentially fall into a pocket. If, instead, the player does not let go of the switch in time, the ball gets sucked into the Poltergust and the game has to be retried.

The game consists of three rounds, during which the player has to perform a certain number of bank shots with the ball, meaning it has to be rebounded several times before it ends up inside a pocket. Round 1 requires one bank shot; Round 2, referred to accidentally as "Round 3", requires two bank shots; finally, the actual Round 3 requires three. If the ball starts out in an inconvenient position, the player is given the option to reposition it as many times as desired. The player has three tries per round to earn a correct shot, and losing all of them ends the game.
