A Moneybag[1] is a rare item found in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. Moneybags are found in ? Blocks and give Mario 50 coins when he obtains one.

Moneybags were originally going to appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2 to serve as the icon for the total coin counter, but they were replaced by three coin piles in the final version.
