★ doors[1] are doors in Super Mario 64 and its remake, Super Mario 64 DS. There are eight ★ doors to open (nine in the DS version), with each one requiring a different amount of Power Stars to open. There are also bigger variants called Big Star Doors.

- Bob-omb Battlefield, main floor
- Hazy Maze Cave, basement
- Snowman's Land, Chief Chilly Challenge, and Through the Looking Glass (both latter in DS only), upper floors
