Revision as of 00:21, July 2, 2023

This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

"Rosalina in the Observatory" is a recurring musical theme that first appears in Super Mario Galaxy, where it serves as the background music for the Comet Observatory. It was one of two pieces composed by Koji Kondo for the game, the other being "Egg Planet" (Good Egg Galaxy's theme). Later uses and arrangements of the theme have been used to represent the Comet Observatory's ruler Rosalina.

Original

In Super Mario Galaxy, "Rosalina in the Observatory" changes as the player progresses through the game. There are three versions of the theme, and each version is more orchestral than the previous. The first version plays in the Comet Observatory until the player beats The Fiery Stronghold. The second version plays after beating The Fiery Stronghold until the player beats Darkness on the Horizon. The third and final version plays after the player beats Darkness on the Horizon.
