The stomping variant of Chomp is a type of Chain Chomp that appears in Yoshi's Island DS. They bounce up and down in particular areas with a loud bang. Although not as large as other big Chain Chomps such as Shark Chomps and Incoming Chomps, Chomps are larger than the ordinary Chain Chomps in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Some Chomps can jump straight up and down, while others can bounce left and right as well.
