Pipe Cannons reappear in ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]'', where they are similar to the [[Warp Cannon]]s that are used to travel to a different [[world]], except they fire the player within a much smaller range. To use these pipes, unlike in ''Super Mario World'', players enter one and then are automatically fired off, often to an unreachable ledge or platform or even a different area.

Pipe Cannons reappear in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. Wii]]'', retaining the same functionality from ''New Super Mario Bros.'' Another type of Pipe Cannon makes an appearance in the minigame [[1-up Blast]], where the player(s) can enter these cannons and aim before they blast themselves and attempt to pop balloons to earn [[extra life|1-Up]]s.

Pipe Cannons reappear in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. U]]'', where there are Pipe Cannons on the world map in each world, which are used as shortcuts to worlds the player has entered before, or to get to the [[Secret Island]] and [[Superstar Road]]. After the level [[Layer-Cake Desert-1]] ([[Soda Jungle-1]] if the player cleared [[Blooper's Secret Lair]] / [[Cheep Chomp Chase]]) is beaten and [[Nabbit]] is seen stealing [[Toad]]'s power-ups, Toad uses a Pipe Cannon in order to quickly travel to [[Acorn Plains]] and give chase, unlocking Pipe Cannons for regular use on the world map.

In the Remix 10 mode of ''[[Super Mario Run]]'', on random occasions, when the player enters a pipe to go to the next area on the map screen, it may turn out to be a Pipe Cannon, launching the player into the sky.{{ref needed}}

A black Pipe Cannon appears in ''[[Mario Kart DS]]'' in the course [[DS Airship Fortress|Airship Fortress]], which contains a Pipe Cannon, which shoots the player to the tower near the [[airship]]. It functions identically to other [[Cannon (Mario Kart series)|cannon]]s.

Pipe Cannons reappear in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', where they are simply called "pipes" and serve as a main method of obtaining drivers, [[kart]]s, and [[glider]]s. The player fires a pipe by dragging it down and releasing it, causing it to shoot out a driver, kart, or glider. A green pipe can fire any item available in the pipe, including High-End items, but if the pipe appears as a golden one, the player is guaranteed to receive a High-End. There are multiple types of pipes in the game, including the Today's Challenge Pipe, the All-Clear Pipe, the Multiplayer Pipe, and Token Shop pipes.

Since the [[Baby Rosalina Tour]], players could fire at least two free pipe pulls during the tour, and the number went up to four pipe pulls since the [[Flower Tour]]. Additionally, starting with the [[Wild West Tour]], players can use an All-Clear Pipe that consists of a random High-End driver, kart, or glider after completing each cup within a tour, as well as the last two free pipe pulls being reserved for the second week's spotlight pipe.

 

 

Additionally, the black Pipe Cannon featured in [[DS Airship Fortress]] reappears in the game through the aforementioned returning course, having the same function as it did in ''Mario Kart DS'' and ''Mario Kart 7''.

A Pipe Cannon appears in ''[[Mario Tennis Aces]]'', with [[Luigi]] shooting himself out of it in the animation for his [[Special Shot#Mario Tennis Aces|Special Shot]].
