★ doors[1] are doors in Super Mario 64 and its remake, Super Mario 64 DS. There are eight ★ doors to open (nine in the DS version), with each one requiring a different number of Power Stars to open. There are also bigger variants called Big Star Doors.
★ doors return in Mario Pinball Land, blocking off areas of the game's stages and opening once Mario has the corresponding number of Stars and collides into it.
