[[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] have to defeat all the Piranha Plants, so the plane can land. However, simply engaging the Piranha Plants in battle is not enough, as when defeated, they promptly respawn. But a nearby set of water pumps solves the problem. Mario fills himself up with water, then spits it on a Piranha Plant. When wet, the Plant is then electrocuted by Luigi's [[Thunderhand]] move, killing the plant and its root, which leads to a large egg on the runway. After all the Piranha Plants are fried, the egg hatches, revealing [[Mom Piranha]]. After disposing of her, the runway is cleared, allowing Peach's plane access. | |||
