Purple Coins on the Battlerock is the fifth mission of the Battlerock Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. The objective is to collect all the Purple Coins, and the mission can only be done when there is a Purple Comet in orbit.

Layout[edit]

The player will start on a UFO that moves around the exterior of the Battlerock, similar to the first mission. While avoiding the electric rails, Amps, and missiles, the player has to collect all 100 of the Purple Coins in the saucer's path before they reach the end. Halfway through are both a Life Mushroom and a 1-Up Mushroom as well. Upon reaching the end, a Gearmo will tell the player how many Purple Coins they have collected; if the player did not collect them all, Mario will lose a life. Collecting all 100 Purple Coins will cause the Power Star to appear over the UFO at the end.
