'''Fake Yoshis''' are [[Shy Guy]]s disguising as [[Yoshi]] that appear in ''[[Yoshi's New Island]]''. They appear in the level [[Inside the Outside]] and can be summoned by striking a [[Winged Cloud]]; when it is stricken, a Shy Guy appears and turns into a Fake Yoshi. The player can control the Fake Yoshi. The [[Yoshi (species)|Pink Yoshi]] must then lead the Fake Yoshi into a [[Spike Trap|spike]] pit. Once the Fake Yoshi falls on a spike, the Shy Guy reveals itself before being defeated. In its true form, it is shown to be white with green spots like a [[Yoshi's Egg|Yoshi egg]].
