I just noticed something- Barribad's name seems to be a pun on "very bad" as well. This would explain the name of its stronger relative, Sobarribad, as it sounds similar to "so very bad". Another way to beat Barribads
Using Dottie will make the Barribads/Sobarribads/Dark Barribads unable to see Mario, which makes them drop their shield.
