The Mine Cart Owner is a friendly old beanish man who lives underground and runs the Mysterious Mine Carts ride that helps others get to a select location in the Beanbean Kingdom. His first and only appearance was in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, where Mario and Luigi could talk to him in order to play the Mine Cart minigame to go to another area of Beanbean Kingdom. They can desire to go back to the area they started riding the Mine Carts. He is usually seen napping in his rocking chair alongside his beanish dog. During the mine cart tutorial he rides on a rocking chair with wheels that is pulled along the tracks by his dog.

A stalactite-like Thwomp as seen in the mines.

• During the mine cart minigame, numerous stalactite-like Thwomps appear that act as obstacles that hinder the player. The name of these creatures is unknown.
