Elegy is a status attack in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars that used by certain monsters, such as the Hobgoblin and the Reacher. It casts Silence on a single party member. When Elegy is used, small, glowing music notes begin appearing and start floating on screen, and Silence symbols start descending on the character, making them look lethargic and unable to use special moves.
The music used in the move is the "Sadness" Song.
