Homecoming Hijinxs

Homecoming Hijinx is the first level of Donkey Kong Island in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Corresponding to the Jungle level from Donkey Kong Country Returns, it takes place in stone architects and icy rocks inside the frozen jungle.

Overview

The level starts out near Donkey Kong's house. The level is quite tough here, that many barrel cannons, enemies, and crumbling platforms can be seen.

Collectibles

K-O-N-G Letters

• K: Found just after the first checkpoint. Player must stomp over an enemy and avoid burning one.
• O: Located under the enemy and over the barrel cannon.
• N: After making an arch by blasting from the barrel cannon, player will see it on the crumbling platform.
• G: Located over an undefeatable enemy near to the clingy wall, so player must roll down, catch it, jump, and cling on the wall.

Puzzle Pieces

• 1: After some barrel canons, player can see a barrel cannon to the bonus room under the screen.
• 2: Located far bottom of the crumbling clingy wall after the first checkpoint. Player must hurry!
• 3: There is clingy ceiling leading to the third puzzle piece above Harey.
• 4: A suspicious void is seen in the section of some crumbling clingy walls. Player must hurry again!
• 5: Grab all eight bananas near the goal. Player must not jump so many times because the platform collapses here.

Trivia

The name of this level is a reference to Jungle Hijinks, the first level of Donkey Kong Country Returns
