Semi-Solid Platforms are platforms that are solid on the top, but not on the bottom. In Super Mario Bros., players could not jump up from the bottom of the platform to get to the top. After Super Mario Bros., players were able to get to the top from jumping from the bottom.

In World 1-3, Semi-Solid Platforms have appeared in Super Mario Bros. Only one type appears.

Super Mario Bros. 2

In Super Mario Bros. 2 Semi-Solid Platforms appeared in World 1-1.

There are four types that make an appearance.

Super Mario Bros. 3

Semi-Solid platforms in Super Mario Bros. 3 have appeared as a plain colored background with bolts in the corners.

White Semisolid Platform

they first appeared in World 1-1.

Super Mario World

Slanted Semi-Solid Platforms have appeared in this game along with regular Semi-Solid Platforms. Slanted Semi-Solid Platforms can be slid on, just like slopes.

New Super Mario Bros. series

Semi-Solid Platforms appeared in New Super Mario Bros. DS, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and New Super Mario Bros. U.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U

Semi-Solid Platforms appear in the stage Mushroom Kingdom U. The player can fall through the Semi-Solid Platform by press +Control Pad down.
