Rope (ghost)
Ropes[1] are long, rope-like ghosts encountered in the game Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and its pseudo-sequel, Donkey Kong Land 2.
In Donkey Kong Country 2 and Donkey Kong Land 2, Ropes are first encountered in the level Ghostly Grove, which is the first level in the area Gloomy Gulch. Here, Ropes appear and constantly disappear. Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong must use Ropes like normal ropes to cross Ghostly Grove's various large abysses. If the Rope Diddy and Dixie are currently on disappears, they will fall, so they must hop from Rope to Rope quickly. As the level progresses, Ropes appear and disappear at an even faster rate. Ropes later appear for a second time in the level Web Woods, but only in Donkey Kong Land 2. However, they are seen only at the very beginning of the level and are not seen again from that point onward.
