Pi'illo Temple

The Pi'illo Temple is a temple built in Somnom Woods at the time of the Pi'illo Kingdom. It appears in the events of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. When Mario, Luigi, Starlow and Dreambert collect the Mushrise Tree Board, the Pajamaja Rock Frame, the Zeekeeper's Feathers, the Driftwood Jellyfish Sheets and the Dozing Mattress, they need Bedsmith to put together the Ultibed for them. They head to his shop in Somnom Woods, but when Luigi tried to sleep in the Ultibed, Bedsmith told him he had to sleep in the Pi'illo Temple for it to work. However, when the group arrived, Pi'illodium, the defender of the Pi'illow Temple, attacked them, thinking they were intruders. Once Pi'illodium is defeated, Mario can enter Dreamy Somnom Woods and find the Zeekeeper.

Pi'illodium is a somewhat difficult boss, and the only boss fought in Somnom Woods. He can turn himself into a Hammer and hit one of the bros. Mario & Luigi must take out his wings before attacking him himself. When this is done and both wings are broken, Pi'illodium will begin to feel queasy. This leaves the bros free to attack him without him fighting back. Any attack is good at this point, as long as it deals lots of damage. Pi'illodium's Mini Pi'illoids will eventually heal the wings, so you only have a few turns. After a certain amount of damage is done to him, Pi'illodium will see he is going to lose the battle, so he goes into self-destruct mode. Mario & Luigi must then defeat him within a time limit, before he explodes, killing himself, Mario & Luigi. After this boss is defeated, Luigi will sleep on the Ultibed so Mario can find the Zeekeeper with the help of Dreamy Luigi.

A stronger version of Pi'illodium can be found in the Battle Ring, namely Pi'illodium X. This battle is almost identical to the battle with Pi'illodium, other than the higher status and turn limit. As Pi'illodium has Mini Pi'illoids in his battle, Pi'illodium X has Mini Pi'illoid Xs is his.

After Luigi sleeps in the Ultibed, Mario & Dreamy Luigi must make their way through Dreamy Somnom Woods. This whole Dream World is devoted to climbing a giant tree. When Mario first enters the Dream World, Bedsmith tells him that the tree is extremely tall. When the top of the tree is reached, there is a Zee Egg there. If Mario hits it with his Hammer it will break and the Zeekeeper will fly out. Dreamy Luigi will now turn into a giant and fight the Zeekeeper until Dreambert talks some sense into him.
