Template:Minigame-infobox Hide and Sneak is a 1-vs-3 minigame found in Mario Party 3 and Mario Party Superstars. Its name and gameplay are based on the game hide-and-seek.

Gameplay

Three players must attempt to hide behind one of the four hiding places (a rock, a tree stump, a bush, and a mushroom house) while the curtain is still open. The last time Control Stick was tilted in a direction determines the player's hiding spot in Mario Party 3; in Superstars, it is instead dependent on which button was pressed. The solo player must guess one of the other three players' hiding places. If the solo player finds one of the players in that hiding spot, that player is eliminated. In addition, if a player does not tilt Control Stick/press a button at all during the hiding phase, that player is automatically eliminated.

At the end of each round, the selected hiding spot is used up, and the remaining players in the trio then select a direction to hide from the remaining hiding spots. The players should be careful as the number of hiding spots decreases. If the solo player seeks all of the team players in their hiding spots within three rounds, the solo player wins. If any of the team players survived from being caught by the solo player after the third round, the team players win.

In Mario Party Superstars, if the team wins and at least one player has been eliminated, the eliminated players come back on stage to perform their victory poses with the team.
