Muteki Kyodai Pakkun

The Muteki Kyodai Pakkun (無敵巨大 パックン, "Invincible big Piranha Plant") is the first original enemy faced in the Super Mario-kun manga, met in the second chapter of volume 1.

It presents itself like a normal Piranha Plant, leading, under Bowser's order, a group of Jumping Piranha Plants. After Mario defeats them with a SNES Nunchaku, the Piranha Plant reveals its real form: it has big and robust stem and roots, hid heads becomes bigger and, judging by the colors, it becomes white with red spots shaped like a comic book explosion cloud. It also has a snout and big eyes, but that's normal in the manga.

It first spits exploding seeds, hurting Luigi and Yoshi. Mario tries to attack him, but he fails, getting slapped by its leaves-arms and getting sprayed with a bug spray. Preparing a punch, the Plant gets immobilized by Mario when he presses the button, pausing the adventure, but this immobilizes the heroes too, so Mario press again the button, getting punched. Mario resorts to bribing, offering money to the Plant, but it remains disgusted by such tactic (but takes the money anyway).

The Plant bashes them with its iron roots and, preparing to eat them, it laughs, revealing a sticker in its throat where "weak point" is written. Mario and Yoshi use then a secret technique they self learned and dive in its mouth, drilling until they hole its head, finally killing it. However, being dizzy and tired after that attack, Mario and Yoshi promise themselves to never use it again.
