Bouncy Beanstalk Walk is the sixth level of World 1 in Yoshi's New Island. A prevalent element in this level are beanstalks, which grow in various shapes and whose leaves can be used as platforms. However, Yoshi's weight makes the leaf tilt downwards, causing him to fall off if he stands on one for too long. Most beanstalks in this level are already grown, but some sprout from seeds contained within Winged Clouds. A significant part of this level takes place in the clouds, where Gusties and Donut Blocks are introduced to the game.
Overview
Orange Yoshi begins the level in a grassy area with a beanstalk, ahead of which is a pipe that produces Shy Guys. Past a field with a Crazee Dayzee, there is series of Paddle Platforms that Orange Yoshi must navigate over pits. A beanstalk leads past a ledge, where the Checkpoint Ring is located. Further ahead, Orange Yoshi enters a cloudy area populated by Gusties, where more Paddle Platforms, beanstalks, and Donut Blocks are used to traverse between clouds. After an Egg Block, there is a Winged Cloud which releases a seed that grows into a beanstalk, stretching over to a cloud that leads to the Goal Ring.
Smiley Flowers
Smiley Flower 1: Found past a door above the level's starting point, which can be reached by climbing a beanstalk. Going through the door, Orange Yoshi encounters several Piranha Plants that must be defeated in order to snatch the Smiley Flower from a small alcove.
Smiley Flower 5: Found shortly afterwards, above another row of Donut Blocks reachable with an Expansion Block.
