Mushroom Coins[1] are objects that appear exclusively in the Super Mario Advance series. They are hexagonal-shaped items imprinted with the image of a regular coin on it. They serve as an extra coin counter feature.

In Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, Mushroom Coins can be found in certain areas with many coins. When it, it displays how many coins are left, and it counts down. In these areas, getting all of the coins grants three extra lives.

In Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, Mushroom Coins appear in completed save files. A Mushroom Coin appears at the beginning of the stages that can unlock White Mushroom Houses, and it displays the number of coins necessary to unveil it on the bottom left corner when hit.
