Arrow fields are a course feature in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, introduced in the Booster Course Pass. They are holographic scrolling chevron arrows that extend over the exits of junctions in the track. Attempting to drive past one will cause Lakitu to pick the player up, similarly to falling into a pit or going out-of-bounds. Arrow fields are distinct from simple physical barriers in that they are in different locations on each lap, changing the route of the course as the race continues. The longest arrow field is located on the first lap of Tour, pointing towards the IJTunnel, and the shortest is on lap one of N64, inside the tunnel.

Most courses have red arrow fields, though N64 and Tour's arrow fields are teal. The former's arrow fields are also unique in that one of them appears large from far away, but shrinks to fit within the player's view as they approach it.
