If the categories of Canines and Felines is now Cats and Dogs respectively now, this should be simplified to rats so people can easily understand it.

#{{User|Randombob-omb4761}} Rats aren't the only rodents, there's mice, capybaras, hamsters, squirrels, and chipmunks, those are ALL rodents.
#{{User|Baby Luigi}} All rats are rodents but not all rodents are rats. The term "rodent" describes exactly as Randombomb-omb has said, it's a category. Rats are much more specific than rodents therefore it doesn't merit a change.
#{{User|LeftyGreenMario}} I wouldn't categorize [[Gnawty|Gnawties]], [[Conker]], [[Ms. Mowz]], [[Flurl the Squirrel]], and [[Fuzz]] under rats because that's an insult to them.

::Except this proposed name ''isn't'' consistent with the other ones. "Cat", "dog" and "pig" all work as casual umbrella terms, but "rat" is ''not'' a proper way to refer to rodents as a whole. Given how Rodentia includes such non-rat-like critters as beavers and porcupines, it's not intuitive at all and would just confuse people. - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 23:29, 17 September 2013 (EDT)
