Once the Claw Hammer has been picked up, it is wrung out, refilling Mario's paint and becoming a colorless card. It is kept until it is used in battle, after which it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Wringer for 200 coins. A replica card of the Claw Hammer also exists, and may be collected from the Battle Spin or Prize Pipe Paths. If and when the Claw Hammer is used in battle, the scenery changes to a nighttime city setting. The large Claw Hammer drops into the battlefield. As aggressive music starts playing, the Claw Hammer swings near the enemies, narrowly missing them. After a few times, it slams into all the enemies, dealing massive damage to each of them. The player may press wiiu as the Claw Hammer strikes to increase this damage. | |||
