There are 7 templates in all; the 5 that need to be updated are in their own sections.

This is the hardest template to update &ndash; it consists of three interesting facts from the current week's new articles. These facts should be from a variety of series (i.e. not every fact should be from the ''Donkey Kong Country'' series or ''Super Smash Bros.'' series).  Additionally, the new article should not be about a subject from an unreleased game, as these articles are filled with speculation.  The subject of each fact needs to be bolded and linked like News. The updater will have to look through this week's new articles '''every Saturday''' to find the facts (DPL code: credit to {{user|Wayoshi}}):

[[MarioWiki:Affiliates|Affiliates]] will be updated by a bureaucrat when one needs to be added or deleted &ndash; though either case is rare.

RandomQuote produces a random usage of {{tem|quote}}, from all the options shown at [[Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Quote]]. It combines the DPL and RandomSelection extensions, and was coded by {{user|Wayoshi}} as well.
