"Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, NBA Playgrounds & Fast RMX" is the twenty-first episode of The Play Nintendo Show on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel. This episode covers Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, NBA Playgrounds, and Fast RMX.
Plot synopsis[edit]
In the Casa de Nintendo, Jenna, Izzy, Frizzy, and Worthington are bored. Izzy suggests they look in the trash for stale pizza, which Jenna thinks is gross and instead suggests playing Catch. A cardboard cutout of Andrew Trego with a speaker box taped to it responds to Jenna by making an obvious joke about the game. Frizzy suggests they do something silly with his amiibo collection (referencing Frizzy's Silly amiibo Theater). Worthington suggests playing a math game to solve their problems, which everyone else does not want to do. The scene pauses as Andrew appears, asking if the viewer struggles with choosing what they want to do. Andrew then asks the viewer if they know where his wallet is, which he is having a hard time looking for. Beary taps Andrew's shoulder and gives him his wallet. Andrew welcomes the viewer to a special episode of The Play Nintendo Show, where they talk about the "real issues" that are affecting friendships across Earth, and even "Space Mars", where Izzy rides a rocket ship that looks like a train (referencing the episode "Nintendo Selects"). Andrew calls the viewer's situation "Clueless On What To Obviously Do" (COW TOD). To display this acronym, a name tag is placed on a cow. Andrew says he will give the viewer the tools on how to combat COW TOD, which Beary assumes means tools like hammers. When Andrew tells Beary that was not what he was talking about, Beary drops the hammer and hurts Andrew. Izzy introduces the subject of the episode's Top 3 segment to be the top 3 games to satisfy the viewer's friendly summertime needs. Izzy says they are "in a pickle" as the cardboard cutout of Andrew pretends to order a large pepperoni pizza with extra onions. Izzy says that is an order he can get behind. It is revealed that the speaker box connected to the cardboard cutout is the read Andrew speaking into a microphone, as he briefly appears next to his cutout adding chocolate chips to his order. This confuses Izzy.
Worthington suggests a monochromatic puzzle, which the Andrew cutout says sounds boring. The scene pauses again as Andrew appears saying the number 3 pick will get the viewer's summer hangout time back on track, as the game chosen is Fast RMX. After the game is praised, Andrew speaks into his speaker and asks if anyone wants to play Fast RMX, which Frizzy agrees with.
Frizzy wins against Andrew's cutout and praises him for how handsome and talented he is. The scene is paused again as Andrew reveals the number 2 pick to be NBA Playgrounds. The scene resumes as the Andrew cutout asks everybody if they want to play NBA Playgrounds, which Jenna agrees to. When she asks Izzy if he wants to join in, Izzy says "It's on like Donkey Kong!".
Jenna beats Izzy in the game, making Andrew exclaim his recommendation was a "slam dunk", and gives Beary a high five. Andrew then reveals the number 1 pick to be Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition. After Andrew praises the game and mentions the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack, the Andrew cutout asks everybody if they want to play Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, which Jenna agrees to. Andrew considers himself having three points and COW TOD having none. The siren emerges from the ? Block, meaning Reggie Fils-Aimé is calling. Andrew tries calling his name using the speaker, which Reggie is not responding to. After Izzy takes a bite from the Andrew cutout, the Ask Izzy segment, "If You Had 3 Wishes, What Would They Be?", then plays. After the segment, Andrew tells the viewer to like and subscribe so they do not miss the episode and to visit the Play Nintendo website. The video ends with the real Andrew dancing during the scene while no one is paying attention.
