Some more advanced codes (like color codes) don't work on the normal signature line in your preferences page. For a signature with more advanced coding, make a user subpage, and make your signature there. The subpage should be called something along the lines of "User:TheRedOne/sig", and to paste your signature, type in the name of the subpage for your signature, surround it with double brackets {{ }} and put the final code in the signature line in preferences. Example;

I blocked your "[[Special:Contributions/reality|Reality]]" account from January; I'm guessing you forgot the password or something? Just remember, only one account per person.
