Template:Minigame-infobox Upward Mobility is a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party 9. Its name derived from the term "upward mobility". This game is similar to Awful Tower from Mario Party 3, Leaf Leap from Mario Party 5, and What Goes Up..., from Mario Party 6.
Introduction
The camera shows the goal cloud. Then, it pans down to the ground, where the Captain is, and it splits into four screens.
Gameplay
The players must jump on the Jump Blocks and Used Blocks to reach the goal, a cloud with a rainbow. For most of the game, the checkered blocks appear in pairs, but toward the end, there are some that appear singularly. The player who reaches the goal first wins.
To achieve the bonus objective in Time Attack mode, the player must not jump on the same block twice.
