Yoshi's Island (series): Difference between revisions

|[[Yoshi Egg]]s are a staple of any ''Yoshi's Island'' game. They are not only a weapon for the Yoshis to use against enemies, but they are also tools that can be utilized to solve certain puzzles. By swallowing an enemy, a Yoshi can lay an egg. In addition to the standard green Yoshi eggs, there are also [[Yellow Egg|yellow]], [[Red Egg|red]], and even [[Flashing Egg|flashing]] ones. The yellow ones can be received by hitting a yellow Egg Block, the red ones can be received from red Egg Blocks, while the flashing ones can just be found rarely on the ground. Other types of eggs are found in the series: [[Giant Yoshi Egg]]s are formed by swallowing [[Fat Guy]]s; [[Mega Eggdozer]]s are formed by swallowing large enemies like [[Mega Guy]]s and [[Big Lantern Ghost]]s; and [[Metal Eggdozer]]s are formed by swallowing metallic enemies like [[Metal Guy]]s and [[Tetu Kantera]].

|[[Star (Yoshi's Island series)|Stars]] are items that sometimes appear when enemies are defeated in certain ways, or from [[Winged Cloud]]s and [[Tulip]]s. They represent the amount of time the baby can be off of the Yoshi's back before the Toadies kidnap them. Ending a level with 20 Stars left factors into 100% completion of the level.
