Grabbing Ghost: Difference between revisions

'''Grabbing Ghosts''' are a type of ghost encountered in ''[[Luigi's Mansion]]''. They help by grabbing hold of [[Luigi]] from behind and hugging him, which helps movement. The player has to leave the Control Stick centered to hug a Grabbing Ghost. As they move, they constantly make gasping or wheezing noises.

The weakest Grabbing Ghost is light lavender (white in the remake) and has ten [[Heart Point]]s, while all other types have twenty. The lavender type (or '''white grabbers''')<ref>Loe, Casey. Versus Books ''Luigi's Mansion'' Perfect Guide. Page 24.</ref> cannot damage Luigi (unless they are bumped into), but will still grab him, leaving him invincible to attacks from another ghost. Red Grabbing Ghosts (or '''red grabbers''')<ref>Loe, Casey. Versus Books ''Luigi's Mansion'' Perfect Guide. Page 25.</ref> will heal Luigi for 5-13 points of damage, letting go if he takes the maximum amount of damage. The turquoise '''Mirror Ghosts''' (or '''invisible grabbers''')<ref>Loe, Casey. Versus Books ''Luigi's Mansion'' Perfect Guide. Page 29.</ref> are completely invisible unless Luigi stuns one with his [[flashlight]]. However, they are visible in the large mirror on the wall of the [[Mirror Room]], the only room in which they are encountered (in the PAL Hidden Mansion, they are also encountered in the [[Wardrobe Room]]). Another hint to their location is a small puff of dust on the ground that appears when they materialize. Later on, purple '''Cinema Ghosts''' (or invisible grabbers)<ref>Loe, Casey. Versus Books ''Luigi's Mansion'' Perfect Guide. Page 49.</ref> appear, which Luigi has to detect via their silhouette cast on a movie screen in the [[Projection Room]]; similar to Mirror Ghosts, this is the only room in which they can be found. Like Mirror Ghosts, they leave behind a dust cloud when they materialize. These two types are otherwise identical to the red type. All of the variations can be hurt by any [[Elemental Ghost|element]] as well.
