 ::::::No, you need to put the template in the image file. Click on the links in the image file Wildgoosespeeder linked you (such as [[:File:HAA 0001.JPG]]), edit the page, add the template there. Since someone already did it, you don't ''need'' to do it, but keep it in mind for the future.  ::Doesn't matter now because it is linked. I don't think there is a duration. It can just happen. I've tagged a few abandoned images in [[Special:UnusedFiles]] attempting to clear it out.
