The first time Mario has to help the hotel manager is in Sirena Beach's [[The Manta Storm|first episode]], when the [[Phantamanta|Manta]] engulfs Sirena Beach in [[electric goop]]. Throughout the remaining [[mission|episodes]], the hotel manager encounters a number of other issues, and he enlists the help of [[Mario]] each time. Said problems range from [[Boo]]s haunting various parts of Hotel Delfino to [[Shadow Mario]] running amok in the hotel. The hotel manager is not always exactly forthcoming, sometimes requesting Mario's help in indirect or roundabout ways, but he is nonetheless always appreciative of Mario's assistance. The hotel manager is the only Pianta who wears shoes.
