World 4-3 is the third level of World 4 in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and the fifteenth level overall in said game. This level was originally World 6-3 of VS. Super Mario Bros. and was later imported to Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Since World 6-3 was originally colored gray, here it is now recolored normally. This level reappears in All Night Nippon: Super Mario Bros. as World 5-3.
Layout
World 4-3 is made of several scattered stationary and moving platforms. At the end of the path the player starts on is a large gap, across which is a Springboard to help the player to an upper platform that will begin falling as soon as the player lands on it. After a horizontally moving lift are scale platforms followed by another lift. To cross the next large gap, the player will have to jump off of a Koopa Paratroopa in the center to gain extra height. After another Springboard is a moving lift with a ? Block containing a power-up within. When the player steps onto the second platform afterward, Bullet Bills will begin firing at the player from off screen. The next scale lift ahead can be used to reach an upper platform, that will make jumping across the next large gap easier. Across the next large gap with two floating blocks is the Goal Pole.
