'''Crate Burning''' is a mini-game playable in ''[[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]'', along with [[Ball Rolling]]. As the name implies, it involves [[Fire Mario]] or Fire Luigi burning the [[Crate]]s on the arena. The mini-games can only be played in [[Rightside Down Galaxy]] in the mission "[[Rightside Down Galaxy#The Great Crate Incinerator|The Great Crate Incinerator]]", and [[Upside Dizzy Galaxy]] in the mission "[[Upside Dizzy Galaxy#Burning Upside Dizzy|Burning Upside Dizzy]]". The objective of the mini-game is to use the [[Fire Flower]] abilities (the effects last for the entire mini-game) to burn all the crates on the arena (a similar arena to the [[Bob-omb Blasting]] mini-games from the [[Super Mario Galaxy|first game]]) within the time limit of 20 seconds. If all of the crates are burned before the 20 seconds are up, the [[Gearmo]] rewards Mario or Luigi with a [[Power Star]]. Losing the mini-game doesn't result in losing a life.

*Interestingly, the mini-games are only found in gravity-altering-based galaxies.
